1817 Marriage, Solopaca

Post by JOHN08 »

Appeared Nicola Benevento, 31, laborer, living at Strada ?, son of deceased Vincenzo and deceased Anna Maria Falato. Vincenzo died 24 November 1792 ? Anna Maria died 19 May 1794. What is the 14th of December 1810 referring to ?

Appeared Maria Martina Franco, 20, daughter of deceased Vito Franco and deceased Marianna Colangelo. Vito died 14 December 1806 and Marianna died 4 August 1811.

Appreciate any corrections/additions.

Thanks for your help.

John

Vincenzo died 24 November 1792 in Guardia Sanframondi, Anna Maria died 19 May 1794. What is the 14th of December 1816 referring to ? The deaths of both were as found by the official on 14th December 1816 (for the marriage) - but the year should have read 1815 :-)

Appeared Maria Martina Franco, 20, (she was presented/assisted by the Family Counsel since she was a minor and both parents were deceased) daughter of deceased Vito Franco and deceased Marianna Colangelo. Vito died 14 December 1806 and Marianna died 4 August 1811. Same notation of finding both of these deaths on 14 December...1816

Appreciate any corrections/additions.

Thanks for your help.

Tessa,

The posted marriage record has a hand-written "1817" date in the left-hand corner of this document; however, the printed form has the year of 1816. The website www.antenati.san has this marriage record listed with the 1817 marriage records.

I must be missing something.

No, you didn't... I did :-) I missed the handwritten "1817" in the top left. I only read the printed date.
So I need to amend my dates on the extracts of death that were written for the parents. These were extracted on 14 December 1816.
