Help with Latin!!

Post by lpilatti »

Hello!

Guys, Im having progress translating from Italian, however, from Latin things are more difficult.
I need help to understand what a birth and dead certificate say, being:
1) Birth certificate of my great-grandfather (Emidio Santamaria) – who was born in the city of Valguarnera Caropeppe. I can understand the date by I see a note about his birth, and, I think the father is INCOGNITO.
2) Dead certificate of; his mother – Croxefissa Santamaria – which I barely can understand the date of her death – and Carmela Santamaria – just beneath hers – which I understand died at birth, taking the mother with her.
Thank you
Leo

Crocifissa Santamaria died yesterday, so she died on Dec 12, 1832 (the record is dated the 13th). The child Carmela who had been given the mother's surname, since the mother was unmarried, died on the same day. Crocifissa was either 35 or 36 years old at death. Not sure of the second digit in her age. The word uxor appears after her age in the record, but then is followed by a blank. She was unmarried.

Emigidio was her son and the son of an unknown father.Baptism on Dec 20, 1830.
