Domenico Solfrizzi death age 80

Post by Jen5525 »

I'm trying to make sense of the various people in my tree since records only go back to 1809.

Here is the death of Domenico Solfrizzi in 1828, age 80. Parents Vito Nicola and Oronza (last name not given). Reporting the death were Vitantonio Stella and Bartolomeo Stella.

Here is the death of my direct ancestor, Oronza (Oronzia) Solfrizzi in 1855, age 65. Widow of Vitantonio Stella. Parents Luigi and (no mother listed).

My guess is that Domenico above would be the brother of Luigi.

thoughts are appreciated!

Thanks!

That would be a difficult connection with only these records.
You would need further verification.

thanks Tessa...I agree. I haven't added him to my tree yet for that reason. I categorize my guesses based on the evidence, some of which are coincidences that are too coincidental to be just "chance." Both Solfrizzi and Stella are not particularly common names from the towns I'm researching and most appear related in some way. I'm almost certain that Dominic Solfrizzi and Oronza Solfrizzi are related and based on the generations (here is the guessing), I imagine that they are uncle/niece...but some other relationship could exist.

It is too coincidental that Oronza's spouse and brother in law were the ones to report the death (I'm certain that this is them, as they are the correct ages and occupations and there are no others in the town with those names in that generation that I've come across).

hopefully, I'll come additional information to confirm this, but may be hard to get the actual records :)
