Translate: Virginia Squarcia Death Act

Post by FrankCat »

Hi all,

Requesting help translating this death record from 1893, Acquapendente, Viterbo. I'm just beginning my search for more information on my great-great grandparents Mattia and Agnese Squarcia and I came across this entry. Virginia Squarcia doesn't seem to be known by my family so this is a rather exciting find. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have attached an image of it, but if it doesn't work for whatever reason I will also add the link:

Dated Nov 6, 1893 in Acquapendente
Appearing at the town hall to declare the death of Virginia Squarcia were two declarants: Domenico Fusi, age 36, peasant, and Paolo Ceccarelli, age 24, wool carder. They reported that, at 10:30 a.m. today, in the house on Via Romana, Virginia Squarcia, age 25, housewife, died. She was the daughter of Mattia (Squarcia), a farmer, and deceased Agnese Squarcia, housewife. She was single (never before married). Witnesses were Cesare Cerretti, age 23, wool carder, and Salvatore Rocchi, age 67.
