Severina Perale Di Giuseppe
Re: Severina Perale Di Giuseppe
Tricia
Here goes-
Severina Perale of Giuseppe-dated April 25th 1874 at 11 a.m. in the town hall of Azeglio. Appearing at the town hall was Giuseppe Perale, the son of deceased Domenico (Perale). Giuseppe was a baker (here the word is spelled as panatiere, but I believe this is the correct occupation), age 32. He appeared in the presence of two witnesses: Giovanni Angela (Angela is a surname in the town), age 33, a caffetiere-coffee seller, and Pietro Coda, age 41, a carpenter. Presented to the town official was a baby of feminine sex declared to have been born at 2 a.m. yesterday (on the 24th) in the house of its own habitation in this town, at #1 via della Parrochiale, from his wife, Luvisetto Luigia, of deceased Battista. The infant was given the name Severina.
The present act was read to the declarant (Giuseppe) and to the two witnesses, residents in this town, and signed by me (the town official) and the witnesses whose names appear below. The declarant (Giuseppe) was stated to be illiterate (so he did not sign the document). Savoretti was the delegated official.

I posted her death record link in the other thread, after I saw that you had found this record. It needs to be translated.

Re: Severina Perale Di Giuseppe
BTW, the mother's name in this record is written as Luisa and not Luigia. I was typing the translation at almost midnight by me and realized my mistake after I shut my computer down.

Erudita,
Thank you so much for staying up late to translate the birth record of Severina or Serafina Perale.

The spelling in the birth record should be more accurate than the spelling in the death record, Tricia.
