On 2 Jan 1897 in the town hall appeared Carmelo La Monica, 28, a farmer who stated that at 2:15 pm yesterday in a home at Via Frandaca from his wife Vincenza Andolina was born a male child he named Giovanna. Left margin notes shows two marriages of Giovanni--one to Gaetana La Monica on 25? Feb 1922 and a second marriage to Maria Macaluso? on 14 Mar 1942
