Calling an Italian parish

Post by estag »

Hi everyone! I sent an email to request some documents from an Italian archidiocese last wednesday and I would like to make a call to confirm that they receive them.

The problem is that I don't speak Italian very well. I do understand most of it because I speak Spanish (I'm argentinian) but I can definitely not have a fluent conversation.

I would like the conversation to go something like that:

- Hello (buongiorno, I know that one)
I don't speak Italian, I was calling to confirm that you receive a mail that I sent last wednesday
-(I suppose they will ask for my name) My name is .......
- Ok that was all. Thank you very much
-Arrivederci.

How would that be in Italian? Feel free to suggest anything you considerar besides tha traduction.

Thanks!
