Matrimonio stamp on birth certificate?

Post by lmarsango »

I noticed that some birth certificates have a Matrimonio stamp. Would that be the date the parents got married? I know that's probably pretty obvious but I want to be sure. If so, what would be the marriage date on this birth cert? Also I have Leone's birth on American records as April 1, 1887. That does not look like uno to me. And do you see an age listed for the mother, Domenica? Father would be 35 correct? I really am trying to figure these out myself. It's challenging with the script though. Thanks again!

So that would be the marriage for Leone 2-4-1910 in Feltre? That is very helpful. Thanks.

Yes, it's his marriage, but the Italians write the day and then the month, so the month is April and the day is the 2nd.

it's the name of the woman he married-Maria ?- I know there is a surname Bianchet in the town, but I think what is written there is something else. Not sure what the surname is, sorry.

The birth act was registered on the 5th of April, but the Leone Olivo Giuseppe was born on the 1st (primo) of April.
The mother surname is Grillon, no age given for her.

I'm correcting Maria's surname to Boschet, which is found in the town.

It appears to be Maria Boschet-the surname which I've seen a lot on Feltre records. Thanks.

Thank you for clarifying that. I was confused. Is the father's age of 35 correct? I really do have trouble with the script on dates and ages.
