Translation for one more death records please

Post by lmarsango »

Felice Baldissera Jul 20 1896 Age 61
Is this the day he died or a different day? If different can you please point out where it says that?
What is the name of his wife? Rosa Centeleghe? (I know that's probably not right)
Both parents (Bortolo and Barbara Beccabo?) are deceased, yes? Is it Beccabo?

TIA

Died ieri (yesterday) so died 19 July 1896.

Rosa Centeleghe is correct, and she was his second wife.

Yes, both parents were deceased (fu is before each of their names.)

It looks like Beccabo but am not sure about this surname. Will look into it.

Oh ok I see the "ieri" now! It's after the time of death and before his name. Thanks!!

And I'm glad this isn't his first wife because this is not the wife I have for him.

Great, glad it's the right person and glad you found ieri. Yes, you've got it. I've edited the copy and it took a while because my computer recently updated and tipped things a little. I post here anyways, for future reference, for someone else. Angela

Thanks again for that. I'll have to go back through all the death records I have and see if they died ieri or oggi. :D

I can find no record of anyone with the name Beccabo. Weird. It clearly looks like Beccabo to me.

Yes it would be, but in the dialect that we spoke at home, the word for tomorrow sounds a little like "cry" and sometimes we would use a word that sounds like "rimane". Nobody ever said domani that I can remember. I think "rimane" might be Napolitano?

I think the name in the record is probably Beccabo. Someone else hopefully will take a look and verify.

Until cry .....
