Lima Death Record Help Please

Post by bvbellomo »

I believe this is the death record of Giuseppe Lima.

It looks like he was the son of Gandolfo, and died June 29 1750 in Polizzi. Can someone tell if this is correct? Does it have his wife or mother's name, his occupation, his age, whether his father was alive or anything else of interest?

The 1824 date is when the copy of the record for the allgegeti

Gandolfo was dead (quondam Gandolfo). Both Giuseppe and Gandolfo had the "title" Maestro, no other info

Thank you so much.

I believe this is the death record of his son, Vincenzo.

Was he the husband of Illuminata Iraggi and Gandolfa de Angelo? I have his daughter's mother's name as Luiggia Giglio (or Gaglio) but I don't see that name here.

There is a name like Serafina Rofsitelli. Is this his mother? What is the correct name?

Were Serafina and Gandolfa alive at the time and Illuminata was dead? I know his father was dead, from the record above.

I see 1816, but no date.

Anything else useful or interesting?

Maestro Vincenzo Lima had 3 wifes:
1 - deceased Illuminata Raggi
2 - (deceased?) Gandolfa de Angelo
3 - living Mojsia (no surname given)
Vincenzo was the son of deceased Maestro Giuseppe and (deceased?) Serafina Rossitelli (double "s"), he died aged 75 years on May 28 1816

Livio
The third wife's name looks like Aloisia to me. The first "i" is written as the letter "j" in the name in the record.

Thanks so much. This clears up a lot. I assumed Vincenzo died young after having only 1 child, and the other Vincenzo Limas were different people in the town with the same name. He was 67 when his daughter was born!
