I believe this is the death of Carmela Ienco (or Genco), wife of Paulo Ferrara, but I've never seen a document like this. The typed letters easy to see, but is it Latin or Italian or mixed? Does it say she die March 28th, 1815 at 30 years of age, daughter of Giuseppe and Antonina? I have her parents as Girolamo and Rita Lombardo on another record.
It looks like it has the name of a Church at the top and bottom, but I can't read it. Any clue to what city she lived in or died in would be a big help.

Death of Carmela Ferrara Help
Re: Death of Carmela Ferrara Help
This is a death/burial extract for Carmela Ferrara, not Carmela Ienco.

Re: Death of Carmela Ferrara Help
As Tessa already pointed out, she is NOT Carmela Ienco.
BTW:
Carmela Ferrara, aged 30, daughter of Giuseppe Ferrara and Antonina, died in Palermo on March 28 1815 and was buried in the Church S. Spirito, out of town.

Re: Death of Carmela Ferrara Help
I am not going to argue who she is or isn't. I posted a long thread about her son's allegeti hoping to piece together their story but got no replies. Please reply to that thread after reading all the documents if you want to discuss who this is.
Does this mean she died in the city of Palermo? Does 'out of town' mean this church isn't where she lived?

Is Antoninia's surname listed?

Here is the documents in the Allegeti, on the left hand side:

The 4th item is the death of Carmela Genco in Ferrara mother of the groom. This is that document. I know the link I posted says she died in Polizzi January 21 1830, but there is no death record like that either in Polizzi or in this allegeti, and that is close to the current date. If you have a better explanation, I would love to hear it.
Regardless, I am mostly interested in knowing where they came from. That opens a huge number of other documents to look at. The whole Provence is Palermo, but if they came from the city of Palermo, that narrows it down a lot. There is a "Chiesa del Santo Spirito" right outside the city, this is probably that church, but unfortunately it doesn't look like it has its records in the FamilySearch catalog.

Re: Death of Carmela Ferrara Help
I was just pointing out that you were requesting a translation regarding Carmela ienco, not Carmela Ferrara. I will not read any other thread and will not answer to any of your post.bvbellomo wrote: 10 Nov 2017, 17:05 I am not going to argue who she is or isn't.
