Dated 21 July 1826 at midnight in the town office in Geraci
(Church celebration on the same day - most likely performed first )
Groom: Gaetano la Iuppa, widower of Grazia Murgia, born in Geraci, landowner residing in Rua della Mura; son of deceased Carmelo and of deceased Maria Scancarello
Bride: Maria Anna Spallina, widow of Mastro Giacomo Messina, age 29, born in Geraci, residing in Rua di San Giuliano; daughter of Mastro Giuseppe, 52, shoemaker residing there; and of deceased Carmela Pergola
The couple was assisted by the father of the bride as her mother was deceased as her father had declared; and without the assistance of the parents and paternal grandfather of the groom as they are all deceased, and the father of the bride gave his formal consent.
