Marianna Abbondandolo was born on April 8, 1851, in the rural house located on Contrada Toppolo di San Pietro in Frigento. Her father, Gennaro Abbondandolo, age 34, a peasant in the town, was the son of deceased Giuseppe (Abbondandolo). Her mother, Gennaro’s legitimate wife living with him, was 26 year old Rosaria Ianuzzi (spelled Iannuzzi in the marriage record).
