I posted a message regarding my paternal great grandparent family. The question was about finding certificates and now I want to know if my post went through. My question was about finding birth certificates for Domenico Peduzzi born in the early 1800 in Schignano, Italy and his son Miro. Can you tell me if you received this post?

Here is a death record (#7 dated 8 January 1866) from Schignano for the death of Arcangela (called Lienda) Peduzzi, age 4 months and 14 days, who was the daughter of Domenico Peduzzi and of Maria Domenica Ceresa. Not sure if this fits into your Peduzzi family... will need to make connections... The surname PEDUZZI is very common in Schignano.

And here is a 1908 death act for a Domenico Peduzzi (age 57) who was the son of deceased Miro...

Perhaps this is the grandson of the Domenico Peduzzi you are searching for?

Yes Domenico, son of Miro, is in my tree and I do have his death certificate. Why are the birth certificates so hard to find? Thanks for your help. Teresa

My original question was locating the birth certificate for Domenico Peduzzi (detto, Coaza) born early in 1800 in Schignano, Italy. He married Teresa Gaggetta and had a son Miro. I can't find Miro's birth certificate either. Any thoughts? Teresa

Records earlier than 1866 for Schignano are not available online or on film.
You will need to write directly to the commune to request them. You must have an approximate year for the record you request.
