Would anyone be able to help me locate any information on my great-grandparents:

Giovanna Fauci b. 1872, Sciacca, Agrigento, Sicily (maybe) parents: Cologero Fauci/Paola Aversa,
Married to Antonino Bellitti b.1861 in Sciacca, Agrigento, Sicily, parents: Pelligino Bellitti / Anna Fazio.
I am looking for birth and marriage information or any other information to help build my family tree.

Antonino's surname is Belitto - here is his birth act in 1861 in Sciacca

#239 - dated 5 May at 10 PM at the town office appeared...
Pellegrino Belitto, 36, farmer residing in Sciacca in the San Michele neighborhood, to present a child who he declared was born to Anna Fazio, his wife, 30, residing with him...born on the same day at the home of the couple. The child was given the name ANTONINO
Baptized on the 5th.
Witnesses to the presentation and declaration: Pasquale Mauceri, 60, farm manager; andFrancesco Barsalona, 40, farm manager.

Here is the birth act of Giovanna Fauci - #592 - dated 17 November 1871 - born on same day at 1 PM

Father: Calogero Fauci [son of deceased Antonino], age 35, residing in Matrice neighborhood #17.
Mother: Paolina Aversa, [daughter of deceased Leonardo] age 26, residing with her husband.
The child was given the name GIOVANNA

Would like to ask for your help again. Both Antonino and Giovanna were my grandmother's parents. I have a copy of the birth certificate for my grandmother but I think its the short version that she requested back in 1965 and her parents are not listed. Her name is also spelled Bellitti. I wanted to know if you would be able to locate a bc with her parents names listed. I just want to be sure of the correct spelling of the name. I am also searching for one of her sisters named Mary who I think was older than Vincenza. I do see Paola and Rosa who came over with her but can't seem to find Mary travel with any parent.

Her surname is spelled Belitti
Unfornately, the records beyond #394 in Parte I are missing (or misplaced ) so I have not located the birth act for her.

I located this birth act for Vincenza Belitti in 1907 (born on 7 May) - #277
She was a TWIN.
Father: Antonino Belitti, 44, farmer residing Sciacca
Mother: Giovanna Fauci, 35, his wife
Vincenza was the second born of the twins.

And a daughter ROSA born in 1904. This is most likely the "Rona" listed on the arrival manifest in 1913 with Antonino (father) and sisters Paola and Vincenza. [have yet to verify that Paola is a sister]

Thank you so much for all of this information. I could not find my grandmother Vincenza's sister, Maria (Mary) listed anywhere. I didn't have a birth date for her either. I vaguely remember my mother telling me there was a twin in the family also. So happy you found her and now I know what her name was.

I am meeting with one of my cousins soon for the first time (so exciting) who I found through Ancestry.com. She has Anna listed as a sister of Vincenza but not Maria (Mary). Now we can both go over the information you sent together.

I have another question. Do you think Antonino Bellitti and Giovanna Fauci were not married as she is listed by her maiden name and mentioned you were unable to locate a marriage certificate?

I can help look for the death act of Accursia, but it will most likely not have a cause of death.
Cause of death was not reported on the death acts.

Looks like these are not my relatives. My grandmother, Vincenza died in 1977 in the U.S. This must be a different Bellitti family.

These twins were born BEFORE your GM.
Both twins died in 1907 - Your grandmother was born in 1908
It was common for families to name the next born with the same name as a child who had died.

The twins were her siblings. All had the same parents.
