What would the comparable Spanish language name be to Consiglia ?
Looking to find details of a Consiglia Maddalena supposedly born in Argentina, who married a (Domenico) Antonio Scapilatti from Castropignano. They went on to have several children in Castro [Albino, Planino, Marianna (Borrelli), Bettina, Adelberto, Antonio, Orindo, Nicola, Carmela, Alizia, Rachela (Ciolfi), and Ernesto] .
Trying to determine what Maddalena family line ties this woman, Consiglia, back to Castropignano ancestors.
Cheers all...
thanks

Re: Consiglia Maddalena born in Argentina / Scapilatti lines
Funny, I woke up thinking I forgot that detail....
I believe she would have been born somewhere between 1905- 15 (a bit wide, sorry) --- I don't have all the years of birth of her children but, the earliest I know of (Albino) born 1934, still living - at least 8 of the siblings are deceased, one of them (Planino) would have been born circa 1925 as his wife was born 1926 and passed 2008).

So if the oldest possible child was born about 1925... there is a good chance that Consiglia was born no later than about 1912... And marriage would have been about 1923-1925? in Castropignano?

Yes, it's also possible Consiglia was born before 1912.
Mostly, I wondered what version her first name could likely have taken in birth record from Argentina.
Here's a shot in the dark - there was born in Oct 1900 a "Carmen Buen Consejo" Maddalena to a Jose and "Bettina"
Given the name of one child, Bettina (not a very common Italian name ? correct me if wrong) there may be a possible chance that couple of Jose and Bettina are parents to Consiglia by virtue of the naming.
Aside from trying to contact living relations - who wouldn't know me at all, I thought I'd at least take a step to explore a bit to start - see if anyone comes to mutual relations with this line of descendants.
Cheers and thanks for the input !!!

I'm also no given to (now) believe that Consiglia was married to Domenico Antonio Scapilatti/o, who was born Oct 11 1896 in Castro [son of Nicola Maria and Maria Rachele di Chioccio] . Among his siblings were Alberina, Alizia - and his paternal grandmother was also Alberina.
Again, Consiglia and Dom Antonio had children named - Nicola, Rachele, Alizia, Albino....
There seems to be enough similarities to support that this is probable - without an actual confirmation of marriage as yet.

My ggf had two brothers who migrated to Buenos Aires circa 1900. Supposedly they have descendants there. The brothers are from the Maddalena branch from Piedimonte d'Alife.

Yes, there's a lot of Maddalena out there.
Though I'm inclined and more certain to conclude this Maddalena family was from the Campobasso province, more specifically connected to existing family lines from Castropignano.
I have not made any progress on this couple but, was able to eliminate the connection of Domenico Scapilatti to a line he didn't descend from ~ same name wrong lineage case.
Who was your ggf?

My ggf was Marcellino Maddalena born in 1860 in Piedimonte d'Alife. Yes, the Maddalena surname is popular.
