Birth Act for Angela Maria Summa - what's going on here?

Post by montclaire »

Birth act 49 of 1909 for Angela Maria Summa. I stopped on this one because there were a lot of familiar names but I am not sure what is going on here. Presented by the grandmother? The age is about right on Carminella Morlino, I do not have a Domenico in my tree but there should be one, by naming tradition (if it's saying Domenico is 24 then that would put him at being born around 1885, will have to check for a match). Who's the mother?

Thanks

Carmenilla Morlino, a 56yo farmer, made the declaration because she assisted with the birth, and because the husband was absent due to work. Nothing in the record identifies her as the grandmother. The mother of the child is Domenica Maria Bochicchio, 34, daughter of Vito [Bochicchio], wife of Domenico Summa.

Found the marriage act but the birth isn't showing up. Should be 1875. Carminella is the grandmother, although it doesn't state it in the birth act for Angela.
