Need birth record translation

Post by Cgpooh1 »

I need an Italian birth record translated for my great grandfather. He was a twin Salvatore with his Sister Maria. We never knew much of the sister not even the name, just that he was a twin. He came here and is 20s

Obviously, information in both birth records is mostly identical but i will include both entries in case something is not legible. There was a note in the margin for salvatore only and it’s below

Maria’ s entry is clearer, and was broken up on 2 pages

maria part 1: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1EmPK4 ... _vQArML8hk

Maria part 2: https://drive.google.com/open?id=100gH4 ... WR5nIV1r0q

Margin note from salvatore: https://drive.google.com/open?id=16kXRb ... O6gfkXBuvz

Salvatore birth entry: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1KSBxT ... Oz3XitxBGQ

Any help is very much appreciated

Maria was born on 23 February 1887 at 5 AM to Antonio Izzo [son of deceased Aniello], age 45, barber residing in Maddaloni; and to his wife Saveria Guarino [daughter of deceased Gaetano], age 39, residing with her husband. Maria was the first born of the twins.

Salvatore was born on 23 February 1887 at 6 AM to the same couple.
Notation is for a marriage on 6 June 1907 (#67) to Rosaria Liccardo

Thank you so much. ! The marriage info was particularly helpful because I assumed it was related to his baptism. I didn’t know they were go back for the marriage record notation. Thank you for the extra time and effort of putting the links to the marriage record.

The time you took to do this is much appreciated.

Happy to help!

A copy of their birth act is required of the spouses to marry. Often when creating the copy, a notation is made in the margin of the date and place of the marriage. You will also sometimes find notations of death.
