Death Record Translation

Post by mkaykrista »

Hello! I am in need of help in translating my ggggg-grandfather's death record. I can see his death year is 1805, but am not able to make out if a birth year or exact birth date is present.

Thank you!

Giuseppe Gargano, son of deceased Arsenio [Gargano] and Margarita d'Amato, and husband of Agata Fella, died on 22 February 1805. No date of birth or age is given.

This record of death was created for the marriage of his grandson Francesco Gargano n 1858.

I do not believe that the civil registrations for Maddaloni go back that far, which is why the death extract is a parish record.

Hmm, that's unfortunate. Maybe if I can find his children's birth records, it may give me his age.

Oh wait, the only child I have for him was born in 1766, and I don't think records go that far back. Guess I've hit a dead end :(
