Corleone church record

Post by cj11788 »

Hello,

Can you help me with the section in red. I know the groom is Bartolo Spallano and his wife is Caterina Camarrata but what are the parents names? It's difficult to read. I want to say it's Antonio and Francesca for Bartolo?

Thanks,

Chris

image 1147 of 1353 #410. I think this is the marriage information in 1650 of the bride's parents: Her father Filippo of Francesco and Francesca Cammarata. Her mother Ursula Marino, widow of Giovanni.

I think the groom's parents were from Bivona in Agrigento Province. It looks like "di Bivona" after the surname in the record. The surname in the record is Spallino, and it still exists in that town.

Nov 6, 1650 marriage #410 bottom left

The Cammarata family was of this city (Corleone). Ursula, widow of Giovanni, was of the city of Palermo
