Hello, I am trying to determine what came of some apparent long lost relatives of mine that immigrated from Montecalvo Irpino, Avellino around 1900. I have been able to find apparent ship manifest records for both relatives showing their various arrivals in the United States, but I have been unable to find solid records indicating where they may have eventually settled in the United States and/or if they had any descendants. Here’s the information I have:
Vincenzo DeCristofaro (the brother of my great-grandfather, Carlo) , born in 1874, Montecalvo Irpino. I have located a manifest record from May 28, 1904, showing Vinenczo, age 30, arriving at Ellis Island on the Sicilian Prince, apparently heading to a cousin – Antonio Stiscia at 54 Elizabeth Street, New York. He appears to be traveling with a possible cousin, Felice Aucelli (sp?), age 31, who was also heading to visit Antonio Stiscia. I believe Vincenzo's wife in Italy was named Maria Libera Aucelli. This is the last solid record I have located. There’s a possible match of a “Vincent/Vincenzo DeCristoforo” living in Schenectady, NY as early as the 1905 New York State census, but I haven’t found any conclusive evidence that this is the relative from Montecalvo that I am trying to track and the wife's name doesn't match.
Rocco (Maria Giuseppe) DeCristofaro (Vincenzo’s uncle), born in 1868, Montecalvo Irpino. I have located several manifest records showing Rocco’s travels through Ellis Island, including a record from Feb. 16, 1910, showing Rocco, age 41, apparently traveling on the Duca D’Aosta ship with a number of folks from Montecalvo, including a “Fedele Stiscia” who I believe is the son of Antonio Stiscia mentioned above. The manifest record shows that Rocco was heading to meet up with his wife “Libera Barra” in what seems to be Newark (I can’t tell from the record if there’s an exact address given. I believe his wife’s full name was “Libera Amalia Gerarda Michela Antonia Barra, born 1874 in Montecalvo). I also located records showing Rocco traveling to New York on Apr. 16 1891 on the Giava, and on June 1, 1897 on the Chateau Laffite.
Any help/leads would be greatly appreciated!

There is a Family Tree for a VIncenzo De Cristofaro residing in Schenectady, NY - with siblings listed as born in Montecalvo Irpino. On his WWI Alien Registration he lists his DOB as 23 June 1874.ac1982 wrote: 19 Oct 2018, 18:37 Hello, I am trying to determine what came of some apparent long lost relatives of mine that immigrated from Montecalvo Irpino, Avellino around 1900. Thanks. Yes, that's my family tree that I am using to try and track my potential leads!
Re: Help tracking lost relatives after their US arrival
It appears that Rocco traveled back and forth several times.
Here is a manifest from the Napolitan Prince in 1903.
Rocco is from Montecalvo, and going to join his brother, Angelo De Cristofaro, in Newark, NJ

Re: Help tracking lost relatives after their US arrival
Well now that's very interesting! If that's the right Rocco, his brother Angelo would be my great great grandfather whom the family has always understood never moved from Italy. Can anyone make out the address in Newark for Angelo in that ship manifest?
Thanks so much!
