For Livio

Post by dmt1955 »

Livio,
a while back you posted a response that i found very helpful and clarifying about middle names & the use of commas between names (for example, Francesco Paolo, Carmine, Antonio, Isidore Smith). I cannot locate it using the search function. Might you be able to help me locate it OR re-explain.

thanks so much,
donna

Sorry for the late answer...
My understanding is that the "official" given name, to be used in all subsequent documents is the name before the comma.
Example:
Francesco, Paolo, Carmine, Antonio official given name is Francesco
Francesco Paolo, Carmine, Antonio official given name is Francesco Paolo
