birth record for Sant'Angelo all Esca, Avellino

Post by sisINlaw58 »

I have found a death record for gal supposedly born in Sant'Angelo all Esca, Avellino. She died in a different town and informant guess her age to be "twenty something" which would make birth year 1875 (give or take). Her parents were already dead before she died in 1895. They supposedly lived in Sant'Angelo all Esca.
However, I cannot find any of these people in Sant'Angelo all Esca!
I cannot even see their last name of Marchione/Marchionne in any Index from this town.
Granted the years I really really need to look at are missing from Antenati site.
Did the young girl make everything up?? She died a few days after giving birth to illegitimate daughter. On her particular birth record, the boyfriend is listed but mother of child did not want to have name published.
Can someone help me with advice/suggestions on finding these people?
Thanks!

www.familysearch appears to have these years but given that the records were filmed at the Tribunal as well as the State Archives not all years may be present.
If this young girl gave birth in another town, then died, she may have been trying to hide the fact she was pregnant and may not have told the truth about her town of birth.
I assume the child's birth record is the one with just the father's name? If they were not married then both names could not appear on the birth record. How do you know this girl was the mother?
