I need assistance translating an Italian birth record from 1889 that looks to be my great grandfather. Francisco Bellocchi, in the upper left corner.
I’ve plugged much of the printed sections into google translate. I am having issues deciphering the cursive in the main body. What also throws me is the Contrassi Matrimonio being struck out and rewritten. I can make out “venne legit..(unlegible)” in its place.
Help is appreciated.

Decenber 12, 1887 at city hall appeared Salvatore Bellocchi age 26, farmer, who declared that 3 pm on the December 11 at the residence at 128 Via Corradini, was born a male child from the union with an unmarried women who will not be recognized and the boy was given the name of Francesco.
At the left it says the person named was legitimized by Salvatore Bellocchi and Maria Candarello on January 2, 1903

Re: 1889 birth “Atti Di Nascita” need help translating possible illegitimate offspring
Thank you! Edit: I re-read that and realize the “legitimized” person is Francesco, which should mean Maria is his mother. I’m also assuming that, from what I read, they may have been married in the church but not recognized by the state?
I later have info from ships passage and 2x marriage records (Fransico & Angela) with matching parents. Both last names of the female parent are close with a couple letters changed and similar to female name on birth record. However the female listed as the parent is going by Eleanore and not Maria. I have yet to find any dates for Maria or Eleanore that might prove they are one in the same.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Perhaps the "act of recognition" legitimizing the child will hold more clues.
Check the birth acts for 1903, 2 January, Act #1 (usually in Parte 2 or supplement), or the Diversi records.

Thanks Tessa, can you point me in the direction of the “birth acts”. Google isn’t taking me anywhere that seems relevant. I assume this record is part of the Church?Tessa78 wrote: 15 Dec 2018, 01:35 Perhaps the "act of recognition" legitimizing the child will hold more clues.

The record you posted above is a birth act from 1887 in the comune of Sezze. You would search in the films for the records from 1903...
Recognitions are usually posted in the year they are made, and usually in Part 2 (a supplementary part of the book of births for that year)
The child may have been recognized (legitimized) at the time of a marriage of the parents. You could look for that as well
We are talking about civil registrations, not church books.
Online records for the Comune of Sezze, can be found here.

EDIT TO ADD***
I have located the marriage act that legitimizes their 4 children... 2 January 1903. #1 in Parte II of the marriages for 1903 The marriage was performed in a house, not the town office. (Via Ariosto #1) it appears from the record that Salvatore was in danger of dying and wanted to legitimize his children.
Salvatore Begliocchi, Son of deceased Francesco [Begliocchi]and of deceased Angela Ulgiati.
Maria Eleonora Cardarello, daughter of deceased Giovanni [Cardarello], and of deceased Loreta Italiani
Children: Francesco Bellocchi (11 December 1887), Mariangela Bellocchi (20 November 1891),
Angela Maria Bellocchi (14 August 1895), and Angela Bellocchi (1 February 1900).

Here is the death act of Salvatore Begliocchi on that same day...2 January 1903 in the house at Vicolo Ariosto #1
Salvatore was age 37.
