Translating birth/baptism record

Post by casagrande »

Please help me understand this birth/baptism record. I was always told my 2nd gr grandmother maiden name was Cuneo. A Cuneo married a Cuneo. I found her baptism record. Could you please translate it for me.

Thank you, Linda

Linda
This record is certification from the secretary of the home for abandoned children in the district of Chiavari that Vittoria Scantia, a foundling, was recently born and found in the town of Rapallo on Feb 14, 1837, had been baptized and, on the 20th of that month, had been consigned to a wetnurse by the name of Maria Lavezza, the wife of Antonio di Soglio.

*I don't see the 1837 records for Rapallo online to look for the original birth/baptism record.
