I finally found the Marriage Record of My great^4 Grandfather Ignazio Piazza, who married Giuseppa Lombardo
I read the date as 7th January 1776 from the previous page and this page - can you confirm on this page..
Father of Groom - Antonino Piazza ???
Mother of Groom Giovanna Tamburello ???
Father of Bride - Felice Lombardo???
Mother of Bride Sancta Ciciolim???? help...
Can you tell if the grooms parents are from Bisacquino from this writing? Are the names at the bottom witnesses or location?

Always best to provide the url to the record, especially when the date is on the page before. The link is below:

Yes, the date is Jan 7, 1776. The banns of marriage were on Dec 28 and 31, 1775 and on Jan 1, 1776. These resulted in no impediments to the upcoming marriage
The groom: Ignazio Piazza, never before married, legitimate and natural son of deceased Antonino Piazza and living Giovanna Tamborello
The bride: Giuseppa Lombardo, widow of deceased Biagio Scalisi; legitimate and natural daughter of deceased Felice Lombardo and Santa Cicio
Witnesses: Clerico* (title) Vincenzo Ciancimino and Pietro (last name I'm not sure of-(?)anitosa

Re: Translation of Marriage Record of Ignatio Piazza and Giuseppa Lombardo
thanks.. Yes, It was very difficult to find this one in the records, the index was very mixed and in different places and the priest actually cataloged it via the wifes name.. I am attaching the document to the people in family search as I discover them. Very exciting. THanks very much for the information.
I'm one step closer to my sicilians..

You're very welcome.
BTW, the other day, I also translated for you the Monte/Caronna marriage and don't know if you saw that.

Re: Translation of Marriage Record of Ignatio Piazza and Giuseppa Lombardo
oh yes... most definitely.. I see all the translations and greatly appreciate them. My mother line is piazza and her mothers line was Monte. So these are of great interest. They were all from Bisacquino and moved to America. I save all of the information that you provide directly into my family tree and will also pull into Family search and Ancestry where I am building information. I do not think that the Monte line has been researched.
thanks again
thanks again
