Is the mother's / maglia name recorded?
Re: Is the mother's / maglia name recorded?
The mother is not named. The child was born "from his union with a woman who is not his wife, not related to him, and wishes to not be named."
He may have married the mother sometime after the birth.

Does it say how old Gaetano was so I can find his birth record. I found a Gaetano birth record for June 7, 1843 in Montefalcione. I’m hoping it is my great grandfather.

Gaetano Dato is age 31, in 1875.
So born approx. 1844. You may have the right birth act.

Re: Is the mother's / maglia name recorded?
His wife (moglie) Filomena Rapa, daughter of deceased Angelo [Rapa], was 21 years of age in 1876.
So born about 1855.
Add...
I looked for a birth act for Filomena from 1853-1857... not there.
So I searched for the marriage of Gaetano and Filomena.
I found this marriage in 1875 for Gaetano Dato and Angelamaria Carmela Rapa.
Ages are correct, and she is the daughter of deceased Angelo .
POSSIBLE error on first name of mother in the birth act of Carmine Dato?
Here is the marriage in November 1875.

And..the Birth of Angelamaria Carmela Rapa in January 1854.

Re: Is the mother's / maglia name recorded?
Very interesting! Because, the birth of his daughter a year prior, the maglia was not named.
I have found birth records of Gaetano’s other children (he had a lot but sadly many died as bambinos) and the maglia is Filomena.
As always GRAZIE’

I thought the cursive was an “a”. Thanks for pointing that it is an “e”
