Help with a birth translation

Post by delfgill »

Can someone please assist with this translation for the birth of Eleonara Nigro. It continues onto a second page. There appears to be additional language after the mother's name at the top of the page two, third line down.

On June 11, 1873 in Viggiano, in the district of Potenza, Basilicata, at 5 PM was born to Maria Aurelia di Rago (27 y.o) and her husband Tommaso Nigro (36 y.o.) a female baby named Eleonora Maria Nigro

I don't see the foreign language you mention. On page two, line three, the name of the midwife is listed.

Thanks. It was the midwife's name that was confusing me.
