Hi,
Can someone please tell me the date of marriage from this record?
Can you also please tell me where it states this, so that I can find this again on similar documents?
Thanks very much,
Michael

Re: Date of marriage
"L'anno milleottocentonovantasei, addì Quindici di febbraio,..."
milleottocentonovantasei = 1896
Quindici = 15
febbraio = February
milleottocentonovantasei = 1896
Quindici = 15

You might find this Instructional Guide for Italian Record Extraction helpful...

For example: Template for the Civil Birth Records (though generally similar, they can vary from town to town)

Re: Date of marriage
Thank you - I thought the first line was when the registration happened, not the actual marriage!

That is true of births and deaths, and the date of the actual birth or death is given in the body of the record by the declarant(s). For the marriage, the couple appears for the purpose of being joined in marriage and it occurs at that time. On some records you will also see a side column for the celebration of the church marriage.
