Help with a distant Ancestor
Help with a distant Ancestor
My mom got her DNA tested from Ancestry, and it shows that she is 2% Greece & the Balkans, when I looked at people who compared similar DNA, 4th cousins etc, it seemed to be when they shared the last name Petrillo, or D’Uva. My family tree on that side is pretty far, Desiderio Petrillo born Oct 13th 1879 in Benevento Italy, parents were Pietro Petrillo born 5-27-1831 and Fiorangela Gioia the parents of Pietro are Dominicangelo Petrillo born 1798, and Teresangela D’Uva born 1799, the parents of Teresangela D’Uva were Paolo D’Uva, and Mariantonia Damiano. I wanted to look into Mariantonia Damiano more, because on google it says Damiano is both originated in Venice, Italy, but also from Greece meaning “Greek Goddess” I’m trying to see if she or one of her parents are from Greece Descent. Any help would be appreciated
