Ignoti or Illigitimate
Would it have been better for an illigitimate bride to record herself as Ignoti .I think i may have found an ancestor who was born " Patre Incognito " (Father Unknown ) in 1859 but all certs and documents after her 1885 marriage have her as "Ignoti" (Parents Unknown )
if yer no fast yer last !!!

There is a difference between Illegitimate and abandoned. A post on my website explains this
