Post by delfgill »

Hi,

Can someone assist with a translation for #21 Maria Giuseppa. There is also a notation on the left under the name.

Thanks so much!

21
Maria Giuseppa Francesca Ricca

March 18, 1869 at town hall in Laino Borgo.... appeared Angela Palermo, daughter of Giuseppe, deceased, age 40, midwife, domiciled in this comune on Contrada Capo lo Borgo who, having attended the birth, delared that on the aforesaid date in March, Donna Angela Balsani, age 35, landowner, domiciled in this town in Contrada Santo Nicola, wife of Don Vincenzo Ricca, son of Don Pietro, deceased, age 32, landowner, living together, gave birth to a female child who was presented to me and to whom the parents intend to give the name, Maria Giuseppa Francesca Ricca.

The declarant has made the report because the father of the girl did not present the girl because he was occupied with duties of his business. The declaration was made in the presence of Venanzio Palermo, son of Vincenzantonio (Palermo) deceased, age 40, farmer, domiciled here and of Luigi Sola, son of Pietro (deceased) age 49, tailor, domiciled here...

(Notation in the margin - died in Laino Borgo July 3, 1944?)
