Cavagnaro and Arata from Genova, Cicagna, Lorsica
Cavagnaro and Arata from Genova, Cicagna, Lorsica
I'm looking for any info about Stefano Cavagnaro b. abt 1860, probably from Lorsica. He married Eugenia Arata, probably from Cicagna. Moved to Boston, USA abt 1900.
Eugenia had at least one sister who was a nun, stayed in Italy. Stefano had at least one sister who had a son possibly named Giannino Cassasa, who lived in Rapallo, Chiavari?
Any help or questions welcomed.
Thanks,
Dee

I am looking for any info. on the Pallotta family from Guardiaregia, Molise Italy. My great grandfather immigrated from there back in the late 1800's. If anyone has information on this family name, I can offer more in detailed information on the family. I also have family from Naples Italy, the family name being Pacelli(pacelle).

Arata from Sicily
I am looking for the maiden name of Madelin(?) Arata, wife to Robert Arata and mother to Rosa Arata Cavagnaro. Rosa was my great-great grandmother. She married Luigi Cavagnaro and had nine children which included my great-grandmother Mayme Cavagnaro Agostini. I cannot find any information at all on Robert Arata and Madelin(?). I am guessing they were from Sicily, as that's where Rosa was born in 1851 (May 10). The Cavagnaros left Geno and went to Chicago and then Michigan. Any information would be helpful regarding Madelin's maiden name and any other info on either Robert or Madelin. Thanks! =)
Re: Cavagnaro and Arata from Genova, Cicagna, Lorsica
I believe that your Rosa was the daughter of Bartolomeo Arata and Maddalena De Martini. The area of birth is Genova area, but where I don't know.. Bartolomeo Arata died in Chicago on 1890. Bartolomeo and Maddalena De Martini married in Orero, Genova, IT on 1842

Thank you so much!!! I'm trying to make the connection between Rosa and Bartolomeo (we have Robert, but not much else information besides Madelin's first name), and this passenger list shows it! =) This is wonderful. Thank you again!

Hello! I am looking for the birth certificate of my Great Great Great Grandfather, Angelo Cavagnaro. He was born April 26, 1823 in Genoa or Lorsica. Two of Angelo's sons were my Great Great Grandfathers. Luigi Cavagnaro was born in 1852 in Genoa or Lorsica and Joseph Cavagnaro was born in July of 1854 in Genoa or Lorsica. If anyone has any information on Angelo or can guide me on how to find a copy of his birth certificate, I would appreciate it. Thank you!!
