#17 1836 Theresa Pastore legitimate daughter of Giovanni Battista from deceased Giorgio Giacinto, Ne...?? of Catarina Zucchino and Maria Magdalena from deceased Giovanni Borghesio, spouses Pastore, was born the 26th of March, of said year and on the following day baptized by R. D. Priest Bernardo Fierro Vicario. Godparent Ignazio Regge of deceased Giovanni Battista and Maria daughter of Giovanni Olearo.

What I could not understand is the word after "Georgio". I read it as "nemon"; after that, there's obviously Giovanni Battista's mother's name; it's in all records, but I really don't know what it means, nor I could find anything in Internet... :|

Pippo, I read the word "necnon" meaning: "and"?

Oh, yes! You both are right, but I would have expected it to be written "nec non".
The meaning is "and also (son of)"

That's interesting. Thank you, Pippo. I've really been appreciating both yours, and mmogno's, "Latin Tutorials" here on the forum. I could read very little Latin before and have much improved over the last few months by reading through these Latin records from Piverone.

Dear PippoM, Mmogno and Angela,
Thank you all so much for the translation of yet another Latin word for me. As always I appreciate your help so much and I agree with Angela about the Latin tutorials being so much help. I feel I know more Latin than I do Italian right now. I had recently told Mmogno that I had missed working with him and the same sentiment goes to you PippoM and you, Angela. I have many more documents coming in the future and really appreciate all of those that are so much help to me.
Best Regards,
