Assistance with 1803 Latin birth record of Giuseppe Antonio Bertola

Post by jrbak »

Hello,
May I have some assistance with the additions/corrections of the 1803 birth record for Giuseppe Antonio Bertola. Thank you so much. I have forgotten, does pridie nata mean born same day or day before?

1803 3rd day of March in this Parish,
Giuseppe Antonio Bertola the legitimate and natural son of Lorenzo from Giuseppe and Maria from Antonio Olearo, spouses Bertola, born and baptized the same day?? et a live inctorio ?? Giachetti, vice deputy. Godfather was Giovanni from Antonio Olearo and Angela Maria daughter of Lorenzo Brunello.

Before Giachetti is the first name Victorio. You can see it more clearly in another record a few down from this one. I don't know what word precedes his first name though.

Birth on pridie (the day before)

Dear Erudita and Mmogno,
Thank you both so much for the translations. I will write pridie nata on my list so I do not forget again. I looked up cive and it said countryman so hope it is the correct translation. I always appreciate your help so much. I still have a great deal to learn but every day I learn something new. I missed you Erudita.
Best Regards,
