VOLLARO - looking for help

Post by jvollaro »

Hi,
I've been researching my family tree, and seemed to have hit a brick wall. If anyone has any information beyond the following, I would greatly appreciate it. I've only gotten as far back as my great-great-grandfather, and would love to go farther.

Great-great-grandfather: Vincenzo Vollaro (born 1869, around/in Naples, Italy)

Great-grandfather: Francesco Vollaro (1885-1949) Born in around/in Naples, Italy, died in Brooklyn, NY
- married Concetta Santanello (1887-1974)

Thank you in advance!
John

Do you already have some documents? For instance, censuses, military records?
Are you sure about dates? It seems that Vincenzo was 16 at Francesco's birth...

I do have documents for my great-grandfather Francesco, including census, immigration, find a grave, etc), and that reports I have found was that Vincenzo was his father married to Rose(Rosa?) Battista. The date may be 1869, so I guess I need to find that out for certain.
Thank you for reaching out

Have you tried www.antenati.sanbenicultural.it?
Records go back to 1809, but with the information on the records you can go back even further.
