Help with birth translations

Post by delfgill »

Hi Everyone,

I have two birth acts for Maria Luigia, 1884 and 1887. I'm hoping a full translation of both might hold a clue. Maybe one passed away young and the second was named after her. There seems to be extra notes at the bottom of one of the birth acts. As always, your help is greatly appreciated.

1884. Presented in the town hall 25 Sept 1881 by midwife Maria Francesca Spolidoro
Born on the 24th in a house on Contrada G...? to mother Caterina Vietri, 32, seamstress, wife of Michele Molinari, 28, a farmer. Notation shows her death date 2 Oct 1961,

1877 not 1887. This is the first Maria Luigia Molinari's birth act. You should be able to find her death act between 1877 and 1884.
Presented in the town hall on 6 Sep 1877 by father Michele Molinari, 19, farmer, who stated that on the 4th of September in a house on Contrada San Pietro, no number, from his wife Caterina Vietri, 20, was born a male child he named Maria Luigi.

Thanks!

I have a death act dated 9 Dec 1878 for Maria Luigia Molinaro, daughter of Michele and Caterina Vietri. Her age at time of death was 11 months old. This is clearly the Maria Luigia born in 1877.

Thank you for the date of death as to the Maria Luigia born in 1884.
