Here's what I know.
Angelo Checola I is born in Paduli in the late 1700's. He has a son named Angelo Michele in 1799. Angelo Michele's son Michele Checola I is born in 1821. Michele has a son named Angelo II in 1843, Angelo marries Concetta Marmorale and has 5 children before dying in 1916. Angelo's first child is a son named Michele (II), and he's born on October 8th 1875. Michele II emigrates to America and marries a Padulesi named Carmela Bufano, who was born sometime in 1877. They have a daughter in 1903, but then, Carmela Bufano disappears. Literally, she goes missing. So, Michele goes back to Paduli and brings back a new wife — Concetta Marmorale, (yes, same name as his own mother) who was born to Pellegrino Marmorale and Mario Giovanni Iebba on April 12th 1885. They have more children, quite a few, and the two both die in America.
As for what I want to find out:
I don't expect any records predating Angelo Checola I to be found, but if it's at all possible to find anything based on what limited info I've presented, I'd appreciate it dearly. Otherwise, I'm hoping to find birth records and the like for mostly the parents of the Checola's: the mothers of the earlier Checola's who I don't know the names of, Michele II's mother Concetta Marmorale, his wife Carmela Bufano, etc.
I'll take what I can get and I apologize if this isn't a lot to go on. I'm more than happy to offer answers to any questions if it'll help in locating records. Thank you in advance, and good luck
