Marriage Translation

Post by rp76226 »

This appears to be a New Jersey marriage reported to Racalmuto, Sicily. Who are the parents of the bride and groom? Date of marriage? Any other key genealogical facts exist here?

The act of marriage was presented to the official in Racalmuto by Grazia Mattina, daughter of deceased Carmelo, age 39, housewife.

Marriage took place at the Church of S. Lucia in Newark, NJ, on 21 October 1920.
Calogero Puma, resided at 28 7th Ave, Newark, was age 37, single, clerk, son of Angelo [Puma] and of Maria Cino

Giovannina Marranco, resided at same address, was age 23, daughter of Nicola [Marranca] and of Maria G. Mattina.

Witnesses: Giuseppe Tirone and Carmelo Varrella, 230 Crest St., Orange, NJ
Rev. Pasquale Angeloni, 159 8th Avenue, Newark.

EDIT:
Here is the birth act of the groom, Calogero Puma, in December 1882. (#566)
