Translate Marriage record

Post by rp76226 »

The marriage record is 4 pages long. I can translate the first page except for the first name of the mother of the groom. One other thing - it seems to say the age of the groom is 25 and the age of the father is only 28. Can't be right.
On pages 2-4 that follow it, are there any other key genealogical data, such as grandparents?

I read mother's name as "Germania". Someone can check; however, at that time, names deriving from towns or countries were quite usual. Father was 28 "in vita", i.e. he died when he was 28; the record doesn't read "fu Giuseppe", but it also says "allora sartore" and "in Racalmuto vivendo", that make us understand he was deceased.

Then, it lists the "allegati" for the marriage. I don't know if they are available, but some of the info are listed here: the birth record of the groom, who was born on Feb 23rd, 1809, in Racalmuto; B. of the bride, born on Jan 20th, 1815, in Racalmuto; Death of groom's father, Jan 7th, 1812, in Racalmuto; death of groom's grandfather, May 2nd, 1798, in Racalmuto.
