Post by stumpeditaliano »

Hello,

All who see this, I hope you and your families are well during this trying time.

I am looking to get this translated with as much information off of this document as possible. Thank you so very much for your help with this.

It truly is very much appreciated.

Death No 6: Anna, Seafina Alfieri daughter of Felice

Registered Gessopalena: 4 February 1897

Appearing were Francesco Cavaliere, 52 yo, contadino (peasant), and Nicolino de Liberato 33 yo, usciere (usher/doorkeeper), both living in Gessopalena. They reported that at 6 pm, yesterday, in the house in Via Castello, No 19, died Anna Serafina Alfieri, 8 months old, who was born and living in Gessopalena. She was the daughter of Felice Alfieri, a possidente (landowner), and of Giulietta, Teresa, Maria Tambelli, a gentildonna (Gentlewoman – basically upperclass), both living in Gessopalena. It says she was Nubile (never married!!!).

Witnesses to the declaration were Leone d'Orazio, son of Orazio, 39 yo, muratore (bricklayer/mason) , and Nicola d'Orazio, 34 yo, muratore, both residing in this town.

The Act was read to all those present, who signed with the official, except Francesco Cavaliere who was illiterate.
