Curious about 3 marriage entries

Came across three consecutive entries in a record...numbers 21,22 and 23 for the same couple, I think, and am interested to know why that may be, could it be to do with Banns being posted?

My curiosity was piqued as I had seen what I think is the brides mothers name as Maria Domenica Maritano (don't know if this was her married name or maiden name but brought my attention to it as that is the name of my GG Grandmother

The first document is the request for marriage publications, the second and third are the first and second publications.

Thank you mmogno, it just threw me seeing them one after the other, I have now seen a couple more since posting this and it now makes sense to me, thanks again,
