checking if relative was in Italy on military record

Post by nrepole »

Hi everyone
Just have a military record of a relative and was confused with a couple of dates.
Does it appear that he did military service in Italy in June, 1907??
And did he do the same in (not sure what month) 1911?
He had migrated to New York to have a family but I know he visited Italy circa 1909.

Any help would be great

Kind regards
Nick

Francescantonio Patrissi, born February 7th 1878 in Rapone (PZ), was called to serve in the military between 1898 and 1901. He acquired the rank of Corporal, and was honourably discharged.

He was called again to serve between February and April 1902, and discharged again.

In August 1904 he was called again to serve, but dispensed from service because he was abroad.

At the time when Italy entered WWI (May 1915) he was mobilised but failed to present himself, and for this reason he was declared a deserter and deferred to the Military Tribunal of Bari for court martial.

His file was later sent to the Military District of Potenza in 1931 due to the reorganisation of Military offices,
