Roccamatisi marriage?

Post by Edward Keeports »

Carlo Roccamatisi married Flavia Pinturno on May 18, 1664 in Monreale. (bottom right)

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=2046915

The marriage record said that Carlo's parents were Andrea and Geronima Roccamatisi. The only marriage I could find for that is 48 years prior to Carlo and Flavia's, of Andria and Gironima Ragamatisi on August 22, 1616 (middle right)

Two questions

1. Is this the right marriage?
2. If so, can someone please translate it?

Well, I think it is likely to be the correct one.
The surname "Ragamatisi" doesn't seem to exist today, and can just be a bad spelling of Roccamatisi.
But it's hard to read, at least for me.
Aug 22nd, 1616
Andrea, son of Lorenzo (???) and Car(oli)na, both deceased
Geronima, daughter of deceased Nicolao, and A???na La ??bara from Monreale
