March 5, 1851 before comune officials in Orsogna appeared Vincenzo di Benedetto, age 33, son of Filippo, farmer, domiciled in Orsogna, who presented a male child and declared that it was born of Brigida di Rico, age 31, residing in Orsogna with her husband, and the declarant on March 4, 1851 in their home. The child was given the name of Rocco.

Witnesses were Don Antonio Roberto, age 39, clerk, domiciled here, and Camilo Campli, age 53, barber, domiciled in this comune.

In the right margin it indicates that Rocco di Benedetto was baptized on March 5, 1851 in the Parish of the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore.

Thank you again. I find it interesting that prior to the records from 1860 the birth registry lists baptismal information. None have been listed for family after 1860's.
