Death No 19: Pasquale Mancini
Registered in town of Orsogna on 6 February 1815

Appearing were Francesco Paolo Palomba, 46 yo, Molinaro (miller), living in said town, Strada della Villa da Piedi, soninlaw of the deceased, and Francesco Paolo Mancini, 42 yo, Contadino, living same town, Strada Della Villa da Capo, nephew of the deceased. They reported that on 6 of the current month at 8 pm Pasquale Mancini, husband of Anna Domenica ...?, son of the deceased married couple Rocco Mancini, and Carmina, whose surname was unknown, died. He was 60 yo, contadino, living in said town, who died in the house he lived in Strada della Villa da Capo.

Edit to Add: Pasquale's wife's name is possibly Anna Domenica Grifonetti?

Yes, exactly. Sorry if it's not so clear, I typed it up basically just as it was written . Often the wording in these earlier records are quite different from the later records. In the later records you see the parents of the deceased listed first, and then the spouse. These earlier records can either give a lot of really good information or very little. Great that you have got back this far!!! :)

That is why I have so many new ones. I didn't realize that the restaurantzione and the other site could get you back to the early 1800's. Many of the new ones I want to send in I just need the birth/death dates. They are difficult to read. Antenati site for Orsogna is down for a while so I don't have access. I would love to get this done!

Appearing were Francesco Paolo Galante, 46 yo, Molinaro (miller), living in said town, Strada della Villa da Piedi, soninlaw of the deceased, and Francesco Paolo Mancini, 42 yo, Contadino, living same town, Strada Della Villa da Capo, nephew of the deceased. They reported that on 6 of the current month at 8 pm Pasquale Mancini, husband of Anna Domenica ...?, son of the deceased married couple Rocco Mancini, and Carmina, whose surname was unknown, died. I agree with you on Grifonetti. I think the first surname above is Galante instead of Palomba. If it's Palomba, the "P" is not at all like the one in Pasquale Mancini. The "G" is oddly shaped but similar to other more obvious G in nearby records (#21 and #32). The "t" in Galante is also odd, without an obvious cross, but like the "t" in "nipote del defunto" and in contadino. The Galante name appears in other nearby records. (#22 and #23)
Researching Gibellina, Sicily surnames Bivona, Bonafede, Zummo, Ponzio, Bevinetto, Beninati, Fontana, Cipolla, Bruno, Manfrè, Lanfranca, and Navarra
