I am confused by this translation. Giovanni was born March 10, 1858. Here is his birth registry that I previously had translated.

You have translated he was 4 years old. Please clarify.

Thank you.

Isn't image 199 recorded in 1852, and not 1859?

Perhaps a son named Giovanni was born c.1848 and died in 1852, and then another son was born in 1858 and also given the name Giovanni. Giovanni I and Giovanni 2. You could check birth records for c.1848.

It was common to reuse first names, especially if a deceased child had been named after, or in honor of, another person.

Yes, the year is 1852, so it's possible what you say

My mistake. You were correct that the date of death was 29 11 1852.
Giovanni was born 17 1 1849. A second Giovanni was born 10 3 1858.
Thank you very much!
