February 16, 1860 at comune offices in Marsala appeared Maria Falco, age 53, midwife, domiciled in Marsala, who presented a female child and declared that she was born of Brigida Sciacca, age 30, domiciled in Marsala outside of Port Mazara, and of Antonino Giacalone, age 40, farmer, at noon that day in their home. The child was was given the name of Maria.

Witnesses were Salvadore Arini, age 32, farmer, and Vito di Benedetto, age 32, farmer, both residents of Marsala. The note at the right indicates that Maria Giacalone was baptized on February 16, 1860 in the Parish of la Chiesa Madre.
