Birth Certificate Translation

Post by meganm10 »

Hi all,

Can anyone help me translate this birth certificate?? I am trying to find my mother in law's family history and cannot find anything on her mom (we think she changed her name at some point before coming to America). I can't figure out exactly who her mother and father are. On Ancestry, it says Rosalia de Martino and Francesco Laurintano.

Is this correct??

help! thank you!

Birth of Olga Elvira Maria Laurintano in Castellammare di Stabia on Dec 1, 1885, at 7:20 P.M., in the house on via Napoli, without a number

Father: Francesco Saverio Laurintano, age 35, his occupation looks like spedizioniere (shipping agent); he reported the birth at the town hall on Dec 2nd.

Mother: Rosalia de Martino, age 25, daughter of Giovanni (de Martino), a housewife, living with her husband

***Without an original link to the record, which I see is not available online, this record was difficult to enlarge with clarity.

Surname is Lauritano, not Laurintano
