Finding my old uncle in Argentina

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Finding my old uncle in Argentina

Post by caterinabartolacci »

Hi there! I am looking for my uncle (brother of my grandmother). He’s name was Carlo Cola. He left Italy (Marche region) for Argentina in 1920 (approximately)...my grandmother passed away and the info got quite blurry.

All that we know is that he left to make some money as his family was poor and he had two sisters and a mom to look after. But they never heard back from him.

I got curios to find out what happened to him.

I’d greatly appreciate if someone could help me.

Thanks
